Finance in Transformation: Digitalisation of Financial Markets

30 April 2026, 8.30 am - 2.00 pm

Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Frankfurt am Main, Germany

We are pleased to invite you to a high‑level industry event on the future of digitalisation in financial services, hosted by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and co‑organised by Deutsche Bundesbank, DZ BANK, KfW, Union Investment and International Bankers Forum.

Across three complementary perspectives, the conference will explore:

- The settlement view: how stablecoins, wholesale CBDCs and tokenised deposits can coexist while preserving central bank money as the anchor of the monetary system, and what this means for effective settlement of digital assets.

- The markets view: the end‑to‑end lifecycle of digital assets - from issuance and collateral eligibility to secondary market trading and liquidity - and the key missing pieces to unlock institutional‑grade liquidity at scale.

- The technological view: the foundations required for resilient, scalable adoption in regulated markets, including public versus private DLTs, interoperability across platforms, and the role of standards in connecting infrastructures.

Confirmed contributors include Besnik Berisha (NRW.Bank), Co‑Pierre Georg (Frankfurt School of Finance & Management), Claus George (DZ BANK), Dr. Alexandra Hachmeister (Deutsche Bundesbank), Christoph Hock (Union Investment), Henriette Kögel (Siemens), Oliver Lens (SWIFT), Cyril Rousseau (European Investment Bank), Basak Toprak (J.P. Morgan), and Bert Staufenbiel (KfW), among others. They will be joined by senior voices from financial institutions, market infrastructures, and the policy community to discuss practical pathways from pilots to production.

We warmly invite you to a networking dinner on the evening before the conference (29 April), hosted by KfW at its Frankfurt premises - an opportunity to connect with speakers and peers in an informal setting.

Further information and registration details - including participation in the pre‑event dinner - will be provided via the event registration link. We look forward to welcoming you to Frankfurt for an engaging and forward‑looking discussion on the digital transformation of financial markets.

Kind regards,

Deutsche Bundesbank, KfW, DZ BANK, Union Investment and International Bankers Forum
